Hope you are enjoying spring weather finally! Also hope you have reserved Saturday, October 4, 2025 on your calendars for our annual alumnae gathering.
As you may remember, last October, we started the discussion about the dissolution of the alumnae association as our numbers are dwindling. We had hoped to have a large gathering last year for that discussion, but only about 30 of you attended - a clear picture that it’s time for dissolution. With that in mind, we are pursuing a final vote at this year’s annual alumnae day for dissolution with a final gala gathering in the new Klarman building’s 11th floor conference area to formally close the association next spring (date to be determined). We would love to have a large number of attendees at this meeting to be sure we are making as many voices heard as possible. So please try to attend this year’s annual alumnae meeting on October 4 as it will probably be our last annual event.
We are reviewing plans to place a portrait and plaque in the Farr lobby near the “Lady with the Lamp” stained glass display in honor of Miss Howland from the alumnae association.
We are also coordinating the purchase of a mobility assist device for patients that have multiple mechanical devices or who just need more than a walker and someone pushing a wheelchair behind them for ambulation! The prices quoted from the PT people in the CVICU are approximately $10,000 with the added oxygen tank holders, etc. We could get a tag on it that says "AlumniAssistDevice" donated by the NEDHSON Alumnae Association!!!!!
